Prix de Diane 2011 was a memorable day with friends. To top it off we were given a 'pur sang' for dessert. A mare who could not race due to a injury and the owners wanted to get rid of. The trainer gave her and the next day we paid her a visit in the stables. After that things moved fast, we decided to breed with her. She is expecting her 1st foal in May. This experience let to more activity in this field. In December we bought 2 thoroughbred mares. One expecting a foal in March. The second one 'No Control' was in training to race. As she was ready to race we decided to let her race a few times before we will start breeding with her as well. 1st race was in Deauville just after Xmas, probably the only day it didn't rain and the sun came out, was beautiful! she didn't do very well but since then she ran again in a shorter distance and she became 3rd.
Having the horses at home is a real pleasure, despite the early morning routine straight out of bed into the boots to give them all their breakfast!
