very beautiful metal thread spindle lace drawings

In Paris I have come across the work of Armel Barraud a young artist, who makes beautiful drawings with metal thread using the spindle lace technique. The results are stunning. So refined, subtle and yet very strong. It becomes three dimensional with the shades it creates on the walls. Really very special!   Armel is french who learned in Portugal the traditional technique of spindle lace. The way she is applying it is really something new and very interesting!  Her work come in all sizes and prices. Some of work are brilliant for children, to introduce art in their rooms.
