Early this morning Dioblues gave birth to a beautiful foal. She is rather small but very feminine. Very lively and affectionate. Everything went well without any incidents which is always a relief. The mother was given to us at a dinner party after Prix de Diane. Unfortunately for racehorses it's best to create a name which represents part of the mother's name and part of the father's name. Which makes that the names are a bit of a bummer. We probably end up calling her Dio Ransom! At home we will think of a nice nickname! One more foal to be born!
