When working with Jaya it’s always a challenge. Batik on
velvet is a result of one of his challenges. During our working sessions he
will declare ‘would love to have batik on velvet’. This is an example of something which turns
out to be brilliant.
Currently working his next Jaya furniture collection with beautiful old french linen as upholstery with a bold motive, a true mixture of cultures.
Next idea/project is to do batik on jacquard woven linen,
which could be brilliant as well as it gives it a 3 dimensional effect!
Even better to create our own motives in Jacquard! To be continued!
