Banane is nearly 5 months and it's time she leaves her mother, Especially as the mother is expecting again. On Saturday it was the 1st attempt of the separation. After 48 hours alone in a box, we let her in the field with 3 grown ups. At first it went quite well, the usual running around. However, after a few hours mother and daughter were calling each other and Bannae broke through the fence to find her mother. Margeritte didn't hesitate and jumped her fence and of they went. Luckily they returned shortly and we took charge again. Turned out an afternoon full of excitement and a lot of repair work! Banane is back in her box for a few extra days, to get used to live without her mother. To be continued next week.
