Why au vieux Paris? the choice has nothing to do with trendy it’s all about ambiance – quality. It’s showing a different face of Paris, instead of moody impatient waiters here is family ambience and the mixture of guests and regulars makes it a place of fascinating encounters. Odette and George do everything with a passion, whether it’s music, horses or food. They make links and introductions between their guests which lead to fascinating moments, what the French call and which is very important for them ‘passer un bon moment ensemble’ A French side not many foreigners are familiar with!
Part of their restaurant is an ‘old shop’ with a big window, this will become the DEDEM boudoir. Creating something totally different walls covered with…… this will be the surprise.

The Au Vieux Paris is a quaint, romantic restaurant that is located in a very old building that dates back to 1512 when it was built as school and at first glance it just looks like an old house like many others in the same area, yet has an old fashioned charm.
This is a family run restaurant that has a friendly atmosphere yet is not that well known due to it being situated on a back street on the Ile de la Cite where there are lots of very old buildings, but it is only a street behind the Notre Dame Cathedral.
At the Au Vieux Paris you will be able to experience very typical and traditional French cuisine with seasonal specialities and they also provide ingredients from the farms in the Aveyron area in the South of France for classic dishes such as duck breast a l'orange, snails with garlic butter, pan-fried foie gras and boeuf bourguignon, which is one of their specialities and is basically beef cooked in a red wine sauce. Now when it comes to the wine, this is an unusual concept compared to most of the restaurants in Paris, as they invite you down to the cellar in order to choose the bottle you desire, but they are also very helpful at selecting one that would pair well with your food.
