Gardening in Russia a special experience!

Creating a Rose Garden for the Imperial Garden Show in St Petersburg turned out to be quite a challenge.
Cultural and language limitations from both sides make the working process long and doesn't necessary lead to the result one has aimed for. It was hard work and a lot of invention from Pierre to get the job done.
Still the public appreciated the garden very much even thou the original design was not executed as it should have been and in a way a lost opportunity .
Unfortunately the 'Communist' mentality is still alive or back. The display of the garden was changed after we had finished the garden, without Pierre's knowledge or permission. Respect for the creation of the designer doesn't seem to exist which was for me a rather shocking experience! And rather unacceptable.
Despite all this the garden won the 1st price.
