A young girl's dream II

Yesterday another dream came true for Odette Lau! Her horse Haya Landa participated in Prix l'Arc at Longchamp in Paris. One of the most prestigious races in the world. The press wrote that the chances for Haya Landa were limited if not to say chanceless! As Odette and George attitude to horse racing is rather relaxed as it's hobby which needs to finance itself.
But the 'gods' were with them, many favorites had to withdraw due to illness and other misfortunes, secondly Haya Landa drew a very advantageous starting position, thirdly it kept on raining! She loves heavy ground.

All this made Odette very relaxed, the idea to participate was already more than enough. And business was as usual, when I walked into their restaurant 'Au Vieux Paris' to have breakfast together. I found George hovering the floor, while in the kitchen the stove was going full blast. Odette was making mousse au chocolat as well as various other dishes. George was saying 'if she would finish 10th would be already remarkable!'

2 hours later we were at Longchamp and then the race, which went like a dream! Haya Landa finished 4th! before several favorites!
All in all a wonderful day to remember!
